[christianoss] Welcome to Christians in Open Source Software!
Hi and welcome to the Christians in Open Source Software mailing list!
Thanks to those of you who have already joined up in the last few hours ;-)
I'm hoping that together we'll be able to create a community of Christian OSS
users and enthusiasts who will be instrumental in promoting the use of OSS in
Churches and other Christian contexts.
Please remember that in order to take part, you need to agree to the Code of
Conduct ( http://christianoss.org/code-conduct ). This is not so that I can
have a draconian rule over the community, but rather to just provide a
framework for us to work within.
Having a Code of Conduct with fairly strict rules means that we don't get lost
in petty debates over who is right and who is wrong, especially with things
like theology and politics which are both fairly controversial topics at
times. I have been on lists where things get buried under off-topic debates,
it's not nice and I want to try to prevent that with this list.
The Code of Conduct is still a work in progress, so if you have any comments,
please let me know (off list).
That's all from me for now, God bless!
