For those that are interested, I found that the KDE hex editor is called
"Okteta", and I found two interesting articles that deal with reverse
engineering binary formats:

[christianoss] Reverse engineering binary files on Linux

Hi folks,

I'm looking at reverse engineering EasyWorship[0] Bible files so that I can
write an importer for OpenLP, but almost all the stuff I can find on the
Internet is Windows centric. Does anyone know of any tools on Linux that would
help?

Any other pointers would be welcomed.

[christianoss] OpenLP 2.0 is moving steadily along

Hi Folks,

I just thought I'd drop a line to this list and give you all a quick run-down
of the current state of my OpenLP project.

For those of you who don't know what OpenLP is, it's an open source Church
presentation program, which allows you to project song lyrics, Bible verses,
custom slides, images, videos using a data projector as a second monitor.

[christianoss] A Linux Server Distribution For Churches?

Hi folks,

Since this is a subject that would interest most, if not all, folks on this
list, I thought I'd repost it here for those who don't read the blog:

Let me know what you think!

Does this allow someone to send an e-mail to the newsletter? I've used the
Simplenews module, but you have to create newsletter nodes.

We're using the Audio module for our sermons.

[christianoss] Ideas for Church website

Hi guys,

I've currently got my church's site running on Drupal, and I'm looking for
ways to improve it. We've got sermons, events, pastors' blogs and then just
general information on the site. I don't want to include things like
forums, but I am open to installing other modules. Also, I'd like to
improve the site's navigation.

Also, what do other folks do about mailing lists? I'm looking for something
that's simple, and easy to maintain for a non-technical person.

[christianoss] Wiki on the Christians in OSS site

Hi guys,

At the prompting of a friend, I have put a wiki up on the site. You can get
to the wiki via the "wiki" link at the top of the site, or by going to this
link: http://christianoss.org/wiki/main-page. Please note that you need
to be a user on the site and logged in to edit pages.

Please feel free to use the wiki to write down any useful open source apps
you found, or how to get something up and running, or any other tips and
tricks you know of that we can use in Churches and other Christian
organisations.

[christianoss] Welcome to Christians in Open Source Software!

Hi and welcome to the Christians in Open Source Software mailing list!

Thanks to those of you who have already joined up in the last few hours ;-)
I'm hoping that together we'll be able to create a community of Christian OSS
users and enthusiasts who will be instrumental in promoting the use of OSS in
Churches and other Christian contexts.

Please remember that in order to take part, you need to agree to the Code of
Conduct ( http://christianoss.org/code-conduct ). This is not so that I can
have a draconian rule over the community, but rather to just provide a
